I think you should start your own blog.

I fail to see what significance this has on anything. Extreme right wing media (Limbaugh, Ann Coulter) frequently say things that are just as outlandish as this with little or no reprimand. Who really cares what these talking heads say anyway? I don't know anyone who actually listens to Air America.
4/5/2008 7:13:27 AM
Uh oh. Controversy again. Someone must be telling the truth...

There has got to be more to this story. It seems hard to believe that the ethically-challenged AR would choose this place and time to make a stand for decency. I'm betting that they have been trying to dump Miss Rhodes and took advantage of this opportunity to look good while doing it.
4/5/2008 10:33:33 AM
that sounds too capitalist for alleged commies

Haha I love it when posters like hooksaw posture and play politics on a message board. Is it fun playing politician?
4/5/2008 3:28:25 PM
I've never heard Air America, but I can't see how anyone on talk radio sans Alan Handleman (and Art Bell, but don't tell anyone I said that, shhh) couldn't be considered intellectually bankrupt as well.Just because a lot of people agree with you and listen to you doesn't make you right, from Charles Coughlin to Rush Limbaugh to that guy on 680AM at night that does nothing but scream at the microphone about god knows what. Print media is where it's at.
4/5/2008 6:16:54 PM
I think its funny a few years ago the right wingers were saying Air America wouldn't matter and would be gone in a few months, and now the rightwing nut du jour is posting all about its internal affairs like it *WAS* important!
4/5/2008 6:23:13 PM
I think it's supposed to prove that liberals or Democrats are bad, or something.Where are these threads about right wing radio that this is balancing, now?[Edited on April 5, 2008 at 6:30 PM. Reason : .]

Where are the right wing radio hosts who calls liberals fu@$ing whores??

^^ Show me an instance in which anyone on conservative talk radio has called someone a "fucking whore" and "David Duke in drag." Did you even watch the video?
4/5/2008 7:28:01 PM
Sorry, next time I'll be sure to call Allan and ask him to verify the spelling of his name with me since I just listen to him and don't read him. What's your big hangup about spelling again?[Edited on April 5, 2008 at 7:32 PM. Reason : ,]

^ Or your lazy ass could have taken ten seconds to Google. Yeah, nothing matters, right, you buffoon? Spelling, what people say--it's just a free for all. . . .http://youtube.com/watch?v=-c2OM7HEfrsPlease don't get any of your moral equivalency on me. [Edited on April 5, 2008 at 7:38 PM. Reason : .]

for the record, the little i've heard of air america is crappy, just like most talk radio. ideological radio shows are for sheep.

4/6/2008 7:48:08 PM
Okay, I misspelled "genius" because I was typing in a hurry--my mistake. I never indicated that I'm perfect--but there's a difference and a distinction in making a simple error and not giving a shit about traditional standards of decency or spelling or just about anything else. I understand that some of you don't get and will probably never get that.
4/6/2008 8:14:40 PM
I DON'T GIVE A SHIT ABOUT TRADITIONAL STANDARDS OF SPELLING
4/6/2008 8:18:41 PM
^ That's the problem.
4/6/2008 8:35:22 PM
Yet you spelled "genius" incorrectly. There's a saying about glass houses...
4/6/2008 8:49:37 PM
Grandpaw is still hung up on someone spelling a name with multiple common spellings wrong.
4/6/2008 9:35:16 PM
its really funnythat hooksaw of all peopleour resident grammar pedant and spelling naziwill try to insult someone's intelligence by sarcastically calling them a geniusyet misspelling the word "genuis" in the processthe irony. you gotta love it.very funny indeed.[Edited on April 7, 2008 at 12:43 AM. Okay, I'm just trying to get the list together of things that don't matter to young elitist nutsacks:1. Spelling 2. Hate speech3. Common decency What else? (And hooksaw is a given.)
4/7/2008 4:11:44 AM
1. democracy2. capitalism3. the threat illegal immigrants pose to our way of life 4. Al Gore's "global warming" conspiracy5. fluoridation
4/7/2008 10:30:08 AM
^ Add her to the list.
4/7/2008 10:37:54 AM
I have no idea who that is, I'm assuming it's the person that you made this thread about that apparently shares a name with a dead guitarist.Explain why this matters in the cosmic sense.[Edited on April 7, 2008 at 10:45 AM. Reason : .]

4/7/2008 11:32:11 AM
^^ Apparently, Randi Rhodes, the far-left broadcaster (yes, that's her), chose that stage name to honor the late Randy Rhoads, Ozzy's phenomenal guitarist. I'll actually give her credit for that.BTW, evidently, Rhodes' suspension is "indefinite"--so somebody gives a shit about this flap.[Edited on April 7, 2008 at 11:57 AM. Reason : .]

i learned one thing from this thread.Kevin Dubrow died of a coke overdose in November 2007.i dont even remember hearing about it.and to think I chatted with him and Rudy Sarzo after they played at the Lake Poon Country Club. man was that 10 years ago??Kevin Dubrow, we hardly knew ye. apparently money can buy your hair (and a lot of cocaine), but it cant buy you love.Godspeed man.

irellevent radio host gets kicked off irellevent radio network.suprisingly, no one cares
4/7/2008 1:10:49 PM
^^ Wildly off topic--fuck it, though; I'll bite.I saw Quiet Riot in '83 (I think) opening for Iron Maiden. And I have to say I enjoyed Quiet Riot a lot more than Maiden. As you may understand, I have trouble remembering all of the details.
4/7/2008 1:17:31 PM
^ i think it was '84. i saw that concert too. Iron Maiden "Piece of Mind" Tour. Queensryche opened, with "special guest" Quiet Riot. I was there to see Iron Maiden, though I was quite impressed by Queensryche. I dont remember much about Quiet Riot, other than they only seemed to have one or two songs anyone ever heard of, and Kevin Dubrow was about bald. When I saw them in 1999 in Raleigh at that shittly little club on Lake Boone Trail, it was about the same. except he had a righteous 'do. But still just the same 2 or 3 songs padded with a bunch ofstuff no one remembered (at least not me) ... what was really funny was the people in the audienceI swear it was an incredible amount of Mullets and Jean Jackets with metal studs and band patches.Yeah, and that was in 1999. I thought I was at the State Fair. BACK TO THE TOPIC...^ you know, i consider myself to be just as liberal as the next guy here in the city of Seattle...but yet, i dont think i've ever listened to Air America. I've never heard Randi Rhodes not even once: wouldnt recognize her if she came up and slapped me.i dont even know anyone who listens to Air America. Except for one dude when I worked at microsoft, but he wore a beret.now, as a liberal who likes to consider himself reasonably well-informed, i do listen to BBC, NPR and Democracy Now... and, when im in the mood for idiocy, i occasionally even listen to the local moonbat conservative ranters on KTTH 770 ( "The Truth" )but I honestly wouldn't know but a fraction about Air America if it wasn't for Hooksaw alternately railing about their station and whatever Rosie O'Donnell is doing.I mean, am I missing something here? When did Air America come to represent progressive liberal politics? who even listens to them?[Edited on April 7, 2008 at 1:33 PM. Reason : ]

well, I thought for a fleeting moment I was going to read an impartial hooksaw thread, since I didn't see a political party mentioned in the title, but alas....
