Now obviously this is not all dems and he says as much. I got this from the following site and the quote describing it. Now being in NC most of us are rather far removed from people that think this way. He mentions Bill Maher a lot, and I have watched his show many times. I must admit, he frequently forms judgments that I find unwarranted and irrational. Now having not been exposed to anyone like this I tend to believe these people must not be large in number. But this guy makes it seem like they are a dominant force in the democratic party.Thoughts?http://www.ace.mu.nu/

Anyone who would sit through all 50 minutes of listening to THAT GUY voluntarily has a fucking problem. I did 2 minutes then skipped to see how long it was. Damn!

I listened to his first 5 failed jokes then x'd.
3/31/2008 9:20:36 AM
Haha "they really do hate America."Bravo.
3/31/2008 9:25:26 AM
Yea, this guy has an axe to grind and is pretty much pulling the 'left wing media' shit with an aside of 'I used to be liberal so I *know*'He's just playing to his base.'They'd rather teach promiscuity than abstinence.'Yea, those are the only solutions, obviously.
3/31/2008 9:32:17 AM
He really could have just summarized it by saying"You people!"

Ironic considering the abstinence crowd has more STD's.

Stuff like this used to really piss me off back in the early-to-mid 2000s when it seemed like respectable pundits were able to take this view without consequence. Now he just seems like a nutbar at a nut bar institute (Heritage Foundation is full of quacks).I'm glad we're in that kinda position. Things have come along way, but I'm still disappointed with the direction they're taking. --DW

so is this an attack on the left or crazy left? i'm not sure b/c i could only get through about a minute of it.

Apparently there are people who define their views based on not discriminating anything. Which he claims leads do the inability to discriminate from right and wrong which leads to the toleration of evil if it is opposed to america.
3/31/2008 8:35:47 PM
What do you mean "not discriminating anything?"(I'm not watching the video.)
3/31/2008 9:14:23 PM
He knows what goes on in Idaho goddam.

Alot of the hard liners on the right have been on the offensive lately after the past few years of "Bush is the devil, Republicans are Nazis" talk. Retaliation is warranted, sure, but it too often takes the form of stuff like this or books about "Liberal Fascists" or whatever. One wonders if the culture wars of the 90s and the days of Red/Blue have harmed discourse beyond repair forever. Really, it's everyone's faut.

^ You just [/thread]'d two threads. Go post that shit in the fitna thread for double your win.

^^ The book you referred to is not the only one of its sort. I suppose they're all wrong?
4/1/2008 6:14:56 AM
^There's more than one book talking shit about liberals? No way!P/B made it sound like there was only one book when he he used the plural form to describe the number of books coming out lately.

Here's another :Radical Son: A Generational Odyssey By David Horowitz

There are probably hundreds of them."I was a liberal and talked a lot of shit about conservatives. But then I grew up. Now I'm a conservative and I like to talk shit about liberals..."And that's not the least bit laughable to you?

^^ No.^ LOL.

lol
4/1/2008 7:17:13 AM
^^But it is funny. They shouldn't call themselves liberals or conservatives. They should call themselves shit-talkers cause that's what they are. They have had all these years to grow and gain wisdom. And the one truth they've gleaned from the years they've spent in this mess is that shit-talking is the Way. The issues are not complex. Just pick a side and bash the other!Even most people in the Soap Box have moments where they reveal more maturity and enlightenment than that.

^ Sounds like moral equivalency to me. So there is no right, no good, no truth?
4/1/2008 7:35:20 AM
^Not in politics.Did you think there was? That's a pretty quaint ideal for a worldly badass like yourself.
4/1/2008 7:42:08 AM
^ What about ideology?
