Why do some have locks on them so you can't open it? At work, now they just stack paper towels on the counter.

Lol, that's what we did. Until we ran out and used toilet paper instead.

worse

you either get like 5 sheets or a little giblet of one. plus the paper they put in there is just about the same as using tp to dry your hands.

Ours holds on to the paper so tightly that when your hands are wet from washing them, you end up with the little giblets as mentioned above.

^heh, so true. It's like your hand melts the paper away. Sometimes, I think I'm "hot"....

the electric dryers are so much better.

not sure which one wastes more time/energy

the electric dryer to completely dry your hand

or

5-7 sheets of paper towel to dry your hands.

either way i just piss on my hands and its good to go

At first I hated the loud air-drying ones but I actually prefer them to the majority of the other shitty paper ones.

i like the motion sensor ones. that way i don't have to touch the dispenser. on that same note, i hate the air dryer ones bc then i have nothing to use as a barrier bw my hand and the door handle. plus they never dry your hands all the way (unless you want to spend 10mins using one).

I hate it when the door to the bathroom opens in. It completely defeats the purpose of washing your hands if you put your hands on the dirty doorknob.

A lot of places put a trashcan right by the door so you can grab a spare paper towel to open the door and then just drop it in the can as you exit.

^ and it irritates me when places dont.

i dont want to carry a used paper towel out with me, nor chuck it on the ground where the trash can should be

Hahah. I remember when I was a kid with greasy hands, my dad would always make me take a napkin in my hand to open the door when I went to the bathroom.

its like those places that have automatic faucets, but not an automatic towel roll.

defeats the whole purpose.

I fucking hate when there's no paper hanging down and I have to touch that nasty wet bar underneath just after washing my hands to advance the paper.

So then you get the towel ready before you wash your hands so it's there waiting.

I don't do that, though. I'm not too germophobic.

every time i have tried that in the past, someone ends up stealing the fucking thing leaving me to have to manually advance the roll.

i always check prior to washing

if it's a knob pulled dispenser, ill roll out either enough to grab the handle with later or enough to do the drying prior to washing

#1 or #2

if you have 2-3 minutes to waste then maybe they're ok...but i don't like handing out in bathrooms so much.

it takes like 10 seconds to try my hands as long as you shake off most of the water droplets.
