mine's broken too, i just bought a 70 dollar VCR that has the cable input in the back and then used the red/yellow/white cables (yea, i don't know the technical term is ) to loop the cable back into the TV...


works just fine

i have vcr with rca outputs i'd get rid of. its a jvc Model# hr hp676u. its actually got a lot of neat features, but seeing as you wont be watching vhs' really i guess that doesnt matter. got the remote as well.
