i want to point out at this juncture that this msg board is not in fact anonymous in the truest sense, such as idlechan etc.

If someone were inspired enough to, theoretically speaking of course, presss charges upon another user for a good reason, im fairly sure that (mods correct me if im wrong here) the owners of the site would rather hand your specific IP/logs to a prosecutor than be prosecuted for protecting a single user's desire to remain anonymous, especially if you weren't a paying customer.

Maybe that doesn't stick, maybe the user who pressed charges reasons are B.S. and you are able to beat the charges...that user still dragged your ass through the mud for however long it took to mire through court proceedings...some of the users here can support that portion of this theory for sure.
