so i hit something pretty hard last night with my left shoulder. now it hurts to move it around. nothing is swollen. i can move it certain ways but not others.is this my rotator cuff? will it heal on it's own.I dont feel like going to a hospital about it yet._________________

you should prolly provide more details about said injury. you don't just hit your shoulder and automatically have a rotator cuff injury. there's plenty of other tendons etc in your shoulder that you could injure

i can move my arm around with aid of my other hand with little to no pain. but once i have it rely on it's own muscle/tendons lots of pain.

I hate when doctors ask you to rate the amt. of pain your in. lol to get in quicker ill say a higher number tho.

update, it was a separated shoulder, tore 3 ligaments. it'll look popped up for life but i can lift again. so that's cool

If it only hurts while moving, it could just be a hairline fracture, which will fix itself relatively quickly, if you go easy on it.[Edited on April 21, 2008 at 1:26 AM. Reason : didn't read thread ]
