Millionaire Lottery Winner Dies In Fire
Gonsalves Still Owed $1 Million From 1994 Jackpot Win

POSTED: 6:53 pm EDT March 22, 2008
UPDATED: 9:05 am EDT March 23, 2008

NEW BEDFORD, Mass. -- A New Bedford man who lived a modest life even after winning a $5 million lottery jackpot has died in a fire.

John Gonsalves Sr., 85, died Thursday after being overcome by smoke in his home. The fire was determined to be accidental, most likely caused by smoking materials.

Gonsalves won a $5.1 million Megabucks jackpot in 1994, yet he didn't let the fortune change his life.

"He didn't change his life at all," his son, John Jr., told the New Bedford Standard-Times. "I think he went on one vacation. He really didn't want to live high off the hog, so to speak."

In fact, his obituary described him only as a retired longshoreman and made no reference to his lottery win.

His son said his father enjoyed the freedom the money gave him and liked to buy nice clothes and jewelry.

"He liked being what he called 'sharp.' He liked his nice suits and his jewelry," John Jr. said.

His obituary mentions his membership in a local social club and his son said he remained the same humble person.

The elder Gonsalves is still owed more than $1 million of his winnings. His son said he hopes the money doesn't cause friction between his father's survivors, including two ex-wives and five other children.

"I have no problem, but you never know when it comes to money. It's unfortunate. That's a fact. It's unavoidable. That's a fact. It seems to be nature's call when it comes to money. Money can really make a difference in people's lives," he said.

Fattie Found Posting on Wolfweb

Messageboard users subjected to her shitty threads

POSTED 9:57am WST March 23, 2008
UPDATED 10:57am EST March 23, 2008

RALEIGH, NC. -- A large fat woman was found posting on a popular college message board known as The Wolf Web. Users of the website claim the obese woman constantly posts inane topics and has shown little signs of stopping.

Aside from her usual discussions of breaking up with another user of the messageboard, and being a shameless whore that fucks married men, the user known as Kiwi has also been known to scare other posters with her Frankenstein like visage.

" NEW YORK - A man was charged with withdrawing $2 million from an account after a bank confused him with a man who has the same name.

Benjamin Lovell was arraigned Tuesday on grand larceny charges. The 48-year-old salesman said he tried to tell officials at Commerce Bank in December that he did not have a $5 million account. He says he was told it was his and he could withdraw the money.

Prosecutors said the bank — which advertises itself as America's Most Convenient Bank — confused Lovell with a Benjamin Lovell who works for a property management company.

The lesser-funded Lovell gave away some of the withdrawn money and blew some of it on gifts, but lost much of it on bad investments, prosecutors said.

The district attorney's office did not immediately have information on his lawyer. Calls left with"
