Because suppose someone killed someone in your family.
Then you go out and kill someone in their family.
But the "someone" you killed happened to be Siamese twins.
So then someone from their family kills someone from your family.
But you think Siamese twins count as one person, and plus, you didn't know. So you off someone in their family again.

And it keeps going.
