Are there still open ball room dance classes with the Dances with Wolves troop? I asked the guy at the desk recently to see if they were on the schedule but he said nothing was there. As far as I knew the free open class was Tuesday and Thursday nights at like 8 in the gym, with the official troop meeting Wednesday nights for practice.

well there's a difference between a website that says they do it and an actual person saying they did it last week

last year i went to the judo club that met every week according to the website, only to find that the place it was supposed to be in had been replaced by baton girl practice; the judo club was cancelled the previous year due to funding/leadership issues

thanks for the links though

we had one last thursday in the Talley Ballroom.

We still have them on Tuesday or Thursday night at 8:30 in the Ballroom. Can't remember right now which night it is this week.

Hence the reason I included the Facebook group. They are constantly sending out invites through the group and any of the admins would answer any question about where, when, and who or at least direct you to who can.

Every time that I have been there have been a couple more guys than girls. It is typically about even though, kind of depends on the day I think. We rotate out though so you get to practice pretty consistently.

FYI, my wife is teaching the lesson this Thursday and said she's thinking of doing west coast swing.

one thing that's kinda lame with these is that they make you rotate even if you come with your own partner. besides that, they're pretty fun.
