your offense is the jam, but yer pitching i don't like.

Gallardo is hurt and Willis has been going downhill for a few years but maybe a league change will help. Izzy is solid but doesn't have a whole let left in the tank.Is this our fantasy discussion thread too now?
3/19/2008 1:17:42 AM
Yeah, pretty much all of your pitchers are in steep declines

What do you all think?

I think that's pretty much the greatest fantasy baseball team ever. Are you playing in a one man league or are the other guys in comas or something? How did you end up with that team?(On a second look, I don't like Pedro, Sheets, or Saito much, but you're still ridiculously loaded.)[Edited on March 19, 2008 at 1:40 AM. Reason : ]

LOL I thought my team was pretty good but is it really that loaded? It is a 10-team league and we go by pretty much the standard stats and rules on ESPN. This is my first fantasy baseball team....I have done others mainly football but this is my first in baseball. And yeah I took a flyer on Pedro, Sheets, and Harden hoping they would actually be healthy this year.

Packboozie, is there only like four teams in your league or something
3/19/2008 3:57:29 PM
Nah I swear....its a normal league....I knew my team looked better than theirs but after more looks I don't see me losing all year.

I've got my league's draft on Sunday afternoonI'll give Yahoo credit on their customer service though, which I hadn't ever really dealt with. Our draft was supposed to be a couple Sunday afternoons ago and my boy called me about 5 minutes after draft start time and was like "is our draft today" and I'm like oh shit so I go into my league and it autodrafted, but the league only had 4 players at the time. And once your league drafts, you can't boot people, delete the league, etc. I shot an email to Yahoo and told them what was up and that I wanted the league reset and they had it done within 24 hours...gg Yahoo!

Here's my first team, 11th pick out of 12. It went okay, I could use more pitching but it's always easier to pick up pitching during the season than a good bat. I like my Outfield, three young soon-to-be-stars who have yet to reach their peak. 1. (11) Ryan Howard 1B2. (14) Grady Sizemore OF3. (35) Aramis Ramirez 3B4. (38) Derek Jeter SS5. do yall think 'Total Bases Allowed' would be a good stat category to add to my league in order to try and discourage people from dropping and adding new starting pitchers each day? current 5 pitching categories i have are Wins, Saves, Strikeouts, ERA, WHIP....if people do the constant drop and add they have a better chance of getting strikeouts and wins than someone who sticks with their pitchers...I figure Total Bases Allowed might be a good way to even out pitching? Whats a good 6th batting category to add? Currently I have AVG, HR, RBI, SB, R
3/23/2008 10:39:07 AM
^can't you just limit total ip?
3/23/2008 10:52:31 AM
yeah but i dont want to completely ban people from being able to add and drop i just dont want as much of an inherent advantage
