how much a week/month do you spend on stuff you really dont need.

like beer and candy and movies.

things that you can go without.

including fast food that I could make myself live on without it...like $150/wk.. adds up when you only make like $400/wk...mostly beer and the occasional ABC store run

^ thats not unnecessary things

400 dollars at just one of the many bars I frequent (while drinking cheap shit) is unnecessary, thank god that period of my life is over

There was a point where I was spending 400-500 a month on going out (including dinners, not just bars), I though that was excessive... let alone 400-500 per week

it is easier with a wifey

honestly though, i think a big part of my excess spending is that I kinda stay away from fast food now... cuz I thought I would be eating healthier... which I think I may go back to, because now instead of grabbing some Sonic or Cookout I'll go to a restaurant and have 3-4 sodas/beer and an appetizer and a big entree. haha I just thought of that, I am an idiot.

geeeez i thought i was bad spending like $100 excessive dollars a month. and it isn't really "excessive" bc i don't go over budget it just comes out of other things. new jeans =s pb&j for a week. i mean 500 is just shy of my ENTIRE monthly budget. i can't wait until i have that much to just waste. ohhhh the life of a poor lowly student. i need to marry up, like now...any takers. jkkkkkkkkkkkk

At most like $10/week.

Out of circumstance, not out of personal choice.

Some weeks, it's as high as $25.

Some weeks, it's $3-6 bucks.

I work too much to go out and spend money
The weeks where I spend more? That's me not taking dinner to work.

this is NOT "unnecessary"

Actually, you could argue that you should use public transportation.

^yah, i replied to that already. i was just breaking down my total spending for the week.

gas and food is not unnecessary, unless of course its extra stuff you dont need.

No, the meager rations option is 20-30 a week. 100 is my monthly budget for food, I have no idea how you can spend more than that in a WEEK.

agreed

when my lady and I try to have a nice meal we'll go to the grocery and spend probably 35-40 dollars on all the parts of the meal. We tell ourselves we're saving money by not eating out ... but really we aren't !! lol the fun is in cooking and chatting.
