hulu is free. totally. It's 100% legal too...I believe it was the networks response to their shows/clips being uploaded to youtube without consent....this way, you see whatever it is and on shows for instance, there may or may not be a 30 second commercial break. So yeah, you have to endure 30 secs every 15 minutes or so...but I'd hardly say that's a deterent.

attack of the show interviewed the creator of the website (hulu) yesterday. yes it is legal. nbc, fox, warner bros, etc have all voluntarily contributed content, and they're adding more everyday. they said it is paid for by ads, but it contains about 25% of the advertising of regular tv programming.

hulu was in beta testing (w/ limited users) until a couple days ago. now it's open to everyone.

i think it's great. now if they'd add all the networks and showtime, i'd cancel my satellite dish.
