Hah, you've gotta wonder what the pet owner was thinking.

"Oh no! My dog just jumped out of the car!"

"But we got it on videotape!"

"Let's upload it and watch as thousands of viewers laugh at our irresponsibility while not making any royalties!"

hhaha. wow. that's crazy.

i saw a dog jump out of a truck bed once at a stoplight. it had a leash around it's neck which was tied to a rail on the truck bed. it was hanging there by it's neck. that was horrible.

I always figured something like that would happen.

Either way I just put the windows on "lock" to keep the dog from doing anything like that. Both jumping out the window (windows rolled over halfway up, usually, is my thing) and also from hitting the button when they're putting their paws on the armrest and accidentally getting choked.

i just keep them cracked a little bit. like 3 or 4 inches. dog can still stick its face out, but can't get out.

I swear, one time Ferdinand ("Ferdi") was cruisin with me in the back seat, panting and slobbering out the window, as far as his short legs can support.

All of the sudden I hear this GAAAKKKKKKKgggghhhh and roll down the window. Damn dog was trying to commit suicide.

natural selection

The dog probably felt free sailing through the air, though

It's surprising how long it took to get some sympathy for the dog... usually chit chat is somewhat kind to animals. I mean, yeah, he was stupid, but that's just the nature of dogs anyway.

My first thoughts from the video were "Woah, holy shit" and then "wow, poor dog."

Does that mean the white dog died? My dog jumped in jordan lake one time, and it would have been some natural selection shit but i dove in and saved his ass in like march when the water was like 45 degrees... and we were on a sailboat.

My dad's dog did this not too long ago, but he was only going 10-15 mph at the time.

my dog jumped out of the car window one time when my mom was driving my car. she just had a bad tummy ache and had to take a poo and couldn't hold it anymore. she did her business and waited for my mom to pull over and get her.

i dont think the dog was hurt too bad...our dog once jumped out going 20-30 and hit asphalt. she got right up and ran over to us where we pulled over. we were pretty concerned about internal injuries, but she never acted any differently after that (we, on the other hand, always locked out the windows when she was riding in the car from then on!)

What kind of dog are you talking about? I played fetch with a dog throwing sticks way out into the lake the first weekend in February and she was fine. I don't think the water even made it past her coat.

I was behind a truck with 2 chocolate labs in the back that were leashed.
One of the dogs jumped out and proceeded to dangle off the side of the truck. The driver sees what's happening and makes a violent swerve the right and then the leash breaks. Dog falls to the street and the back tire of the runs over the dogs mouth and face.
I slammed on brakes and stopped to help . . . both of them (a couple i assume) were in fucking hysterics, it was awful

I'm not letting any dog I ever have stick his or her head out the window. Too dangerous.

I think I drove by that scene. There were already a bunch of people stopped, so I just kept going. That poor lab looked so bad.

He's like a springer spaniel/border collie mix I think.. The only reason he might have been in trouble was because he was about 9 months old, and we were on a sailboat so even if we stopped the boat was drifting the other way from him. But I'd say he was pretty tired trying to swim because as soon as I got to him he climb on my back and just kinda rode on me.
