What driver are you using? The first thing I'd do is try a different driver. If that wasn't it I'd start considering the possibility that the card has a defect.

6.14.11.6921, latest versionupdated if after the problem started yesterday, rebooted in safe mode and uninstalled the old one and then installed the new one

I've seen games do similar things and it's almost always video driver issues. Occasionally, its a failing card, but I'd try different/older/beta drivers first before I started to suspect hardware problelms.

but still go ahead and start moving towards replacementno sense in waiting if it's under warrantyjust get a new one

That's sketch. It looks too uniform to be artifacting... But then again the artifacting I usually see is due to memory overheating and stuff like that. Maybe the GPU is overheating?Have you already tried improving the cooling around the graphics card in the system, even doing something temporary like blasting the hell out of it with a house fan or something?I'd say overheating or drivers. If cooling and drivers don't fix it, I'm gonna say it's just a POS that needs to get RMA'd.[Edited on March 8, 2008 at 10:50 PM. Reason : Try some older game demos like Quake 3 arena or something and see if it does it too.]
