Wow. Actually didn't see this one coming this off-season.
3/4/2008 10:00:15 AM
http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3276034sounds to me like he's frustrated with not having a star receiver, and the packers not caring
3/4/2008 10:00:53 AM
Guess his K-Rob hope didn't pan out.
3/4/2008 10:03:34 AM
well i guess he's going out on top in a sense...what were they last year regular season, 13-3 or something? good enough for #2 seed in the NFC...if you cant go out with a superbowl, at least don't go out 6-10
3/4/2008 10:05:56 AM
From Brett Favre to Aaron Rodgers. Green Bay just went silent.
3/4/2008 10:08:26 AM
dang. im not even old enough to consciously remember an NFL season he wasnt playing in. pretty crazy to think hes finally done[Edited on March 4, 2008 at 10:09 AM. Reason : ]

As good as any who ever played in my opinion....
3/4/2008 10:10:13 AM
bummer, Packers fans must really be upset[Edited on March 4, 2008 at 10:10 AM. Reason : s]
3/4/2008 10:10:23 AM
im just glad we don't have to sit through another summer of listening to "will he, won't he"
3/4/2008 10:12:17 AM
3/4/2008 10:26:33 AM
Wow, def did not see this coming. I was for certain there would be one more year. Bye Bye Green Bay. Brett Favre....one of the best that ever did it. III
3/4/2008 10:27:00 AM
3/4/2008 10:30:18 AM
he will wait until someone else is about to get a load of attention, or some big event and then announce he changed his mind so the favre love-fest can continue
3/4/2008 10:30:19 AM
He still had a top 10 receiving core without MossDriver, Jennings, Jones, Lee, Franks...better than most teams out thereand Ryan Grant to take some of the pressure off him
3/4/2008 10:33:28 AM
3/4/2008 10:34:04 AM
^ Agreed III
3/4/2008 10:41:30 AM
3/4/2008 11:23:47 AM
Now Something About Mary 2 can finally get in production
3/4/2008 11:39:42 AM
HE'LL BE BACK
3/4/2008 12:52:02 PM
that receiving core is nothing to complain about...he'll be lining up on opening day
3/4/2008 1:09:57 PM
At least we'll always have the memories!
3/4/2008 1:26:15 PM
I hope you fucking die.
3/4/2008 2:08:18 PM
great, now ESPN will have 2435349 straight hours of Favre cock-chugging.
3/4/2008 2:13:49 PM
I'm probably going to get grilled for this...but I'm not sure the Packers want him for a couple more years. Most of the organization is ready for Aaron Rodgers to step in and become the new face of the franchise. My buddy who has worked for the Packers for over 12 years has wanted Favre gone for the past three years.[Edited on March 4, 2008 at 3:20 PM. Reason : .]
3/4/2008 3:15:55 PM
If this thread were ESPN, it would be 134 pages longand something extra special would be planned for pages 150 and 200
3/4/2008 3:17:52 PM
I think Sal Palantonio is going to give the first on air blowjob to Brett Favre on the 6 o clock sportscenter
3/4/2008 3:21:14 PM
Yeah man, fuck ESPN for covering a major event in sports.
3/4/2008 3:22:16 PM
Noooooo....come back a month b4 the season starts and come to Charlotte so the Panthers can get rid of fucking Jake Delhomme!!
3/4/2008 5:58:14 PM
3/4/2008 6:37:57 PM
Quinn dont forget an effective O-line that can block...ill throw that in there as well!
3/4/2008 9:43:46 PM
what about a d-line that can stop the run?
3/4/2008 10:02:00 PM
if it wasn't for Detroit, the NFC North might not average 100 yards passing in a game next season.
3/5/2008 12:00:54 AM
The Packers picked Rodgers in the first round so they obviously thought he could take over.He played pretty good in his one game this year against the Cowboys, but their pass D made everyone look good.
3/5/2008 2:12:33 AM
^Lol yeah except for favre
3/5/2008 8:33:31 AM
I don't see why anyone's surprised that Farve retired. He only stuck around as long as he did just so he could break all of Dan Marino's records, despite the fact that he was already over the hill just like Emmit Smith did.
3/5/2008 10:21:36 AM
except he was actually relevant in his last season(s)

3/5/2008 12:41:03 PM
Thank GOD. No more dick sucking montages
3/5/2008 3:56:28 PM
this honestly makes me a little sad.
3/5/2008 4:12:04 PM
The NFL just lost an icon..
3/6/2008 12:39:42 PM
3/6/2008 12:46:16 PM
But thats the thing about us Green Bay fans... We stick with our guy.. We know he's proven, and when everyone was whinning that he needs to retire a couple years ago, we welcomed him back and he had a career year. We are Packers fans, not Philly or N.Y fans
3/6/2008 12:50:14 PM
3/6/2008 1:02:12 PM
I guess if the Cowboys were like Packers fans, Bledsoe would still be starting cause they would've "stuck with their guy"what was the point of drafting Aaron Rogers?]
3/6/2008 1:05:15 PM
Ok lets be clear ....Bledsoe is no Favre, neither is Tony Homo for that matter. If the Cowboys had a QB the caliber of Favre then your point would make some sense. Oh well....nice try.
