huh, I always assumed it had something to do with allergies. Like how kids can't eat things like eggs or nuts until they're a certain age because it might trigger allergies.
3/3/2008 10:45:13 PM
waitisnt honey supposed to be one of the natural antibiotics?
3/3/2008 10:46:31 PM
i think some people think giving their kid honey will help with their other allergies, because it does with adults, and that's where the infant falls susceptible to gastrointestinal problem and stuff as a result of the honey.i maybe be wrong tho, i only glanced the article.[Edited on March 3, 2008 at 10:47 PM. Reason : ^it is, but not for infants, they have a problem with it until they build their bodies up or sumthin]
3/3/2008 10:46:54 PM
i meant how the hell is botulism kicking it inside honey
3/3/2008 10:50:32 PM
Because botulism is caused by spores and honey is made from plants that the spores can reside in. That's my guess at least.[Edited on March 3, 2008 at 10:53 PM. Reason : grammars]

It comes from the ancient Greek tradition that those who had not proven themselves in battle could not eat honey, considered the finest of all foods. Also in Greece, you proved yourself in battle by age one or you were deemed an animal and put to labor or cast out to the woods, or eaten for food, like other animal kind. Haven't you guys had history classes?
