It's simple as shit, I don't have time to do it though. It's to keep up with what training employees have had. Most of the commercials solutions I've looked at have way too much bloat and are missing some main things we need. Basically we want to be able to hit an add employee or create employee button, it brings up a box for name and a drop down box for position and maybe date of hire, etc. The position drop down box is populated from a list we setup separately. Each position has a list of training tasks associated with it--this isn't required but would be nice so we didn't have to add the same shit in every time. So, basically we enter a name, select a position and hit create. From there we will be able to open up each employees "file" and have the list of training that position requires and of course we can add/subtract courses as needed. In this employee file page we want to keep it simple--basically just some check boxes and a date field for date of completed training is all we need. Of course we'll have to also have a place to create all of the courses. One last thing is different training items need to have different priority--primary/secondary/continuing Can anyone write this? If not, where should I post it? We're willing to pay well for this--it's costing so much time for HR to print each position out, write a name on it, file all of these papers, keep up with them, etc. I don't see this taking more than a day or two for someone who knows what they're doing. I don't have time anymore to do their IT work or I'd spend some time on this and try to get something going in Access...
