I bought a 15 pack of DVD+R DL media at Office Max today for $12.99. That's by far the cheapest I have ever seen. Thought I'd pass it on.

wow i can't remember the last time i've had, or really even heard the term coaster used. I've been through this entire 100 pack of Memorex DVD-Rs and not one has fucked up.

Watch your offbrand media in 2 years when the dye flakes off. Or well scratch that, I guess you won't be able to

Granted, most of that store logo media is just rebadged and with some googling you can find out the true manufacturer. I think I had a spindle of rebadged RiTeks back in the day.

^^You don't know much about DL media then.

I have a stack of unused Memorex DVD+R DL discs because they have such retarded error rates. Doing a disc comparions between them and the Verbatim's (all I use now) is light night and day regardless of speed.

Verbatim's cost more, but it's the only media that Ive not had a single disc error out. The memorex discs were like 1 in 4.

hmm. I went through several brands when I first got my new DVD player a few years ago and memorex was the only DVDs that played on my DVD player. Verbatim was the worst for making coasters. I've never had problems getting memorex to play on my player... I kept the other brands I bought to back up data/mp3s and they work fine for that.

i've never had a consistent problem with ANY brand media, DVDs or CDs, save for some absolutely no-brand (as in, just reflective top) CDs that were given to me a few years back

maybe y'all's burners just suck donkey balls...or maybe i've just happened to through hundreds upon hundreds of discs that just happened to be great

i've also overburned a boatload of discs and never had a problem, though those have been in recent years

^^I am only speaking for their dual layer discs. Verbatim is pretty run of the mill for everything else. And memorex is pretty decent for everything else. in my experience
