possible stupid question here...

ok so I bought secondhand a 55 gallon drum to store gasoline. Now I can't figure out how to get the damn thing open... I know it is 2" NPT or whatever, but I can't figure out the locking mechanism (looks just like the pic). Same with the smaller port for ventilation. I tried just getting a pliars on there to turn it but either I wasn't giving it enough effort or there is some other way I need to do it.

Any ideas? Is there a tool I need to get?

You have to open the bung hole.

But really-we used to have to open these things all the time at work-there is a tool that you need to get in there

i'm fine with using a special tool. I just need to figure out where to get it.
