Anyone in this class? T-Th 1:30-2:45? How's the studying going?

found some supplemental materials...I don't think it'll be too bad tommorrow.

^Don't think so? Just worried because if it's only 6-8 multiple choice problems then one wrong answer could screw up the whole thing, considering there's no partial credit.

In Soviet Russia, test takes you!but seriously, I'm just making a solid equation sheet. the text has a shit-ton of questions so its not hard to practice a variety of problems.any idea whether he'd give us something like a cylindrical conduction problem? I think he might have said something about it in class, like no spherical, only plane wall...[Edited on February 25, 2008 at 8:29 PM. Reason : ..]

^Don't know about the cylindrical conduction. Sent you a pm.

we had to derive the equation for cylindrical conduction a few years ago

Hopefully there won't be any derivations because it's a multiple choice test. Think that would be kinda hard to do if there's no partial credit.

Brutal!

^^ thats how most his tests were :/ hard questions with no partial

yeah that was rough. I couldnt get number 6. Hopefully he'll curve a bunch.

I had him for 310 about 2 years ago. Horrible. He even told us one day that he was only in it for the research. He just did the teaching thing because he had to. Our class packed that room down in 2211 Broughton, but by mid-semester we all found it pointless because he made no sense in class. Nobody except for like 20 people went except for test days. Then he pulled a fast one on us all by giving out the teacher evaluations on one of those days where nobody came to class, so I didn't get a chance to review him. I would have dictated quite a letter.
