depends on how you rented them.

we rented one using a visa gift card that had a 1.24 left on it and a bunch of random letters for an email address.

dont have to return it if we dont want too.

no, its due at 9pm the next day...
ex: you can rent it at 7am saturday and its due 9pm sunday
someone else can rent one at 9pm saturday and its due 9pm sunday
