wtf, it's 2:45am on a fucking sunday night (well, technically, monday morning)

all i've heard over locution is like 2 respiratory distress calls... where the fuck are all these people coming from?

rex is on yellow... but that doesn't surprise me at all... i'd also be willing to bet they weren't anywhere near capacity

code red = fire

red diversion = damnit, we don't have any more beds, don't bring ppl here unless you absolutely HAVE to (i.e. cardiac arrest/trauma one)

p.s. this is all public information in case anyone was planning on bitching me out

either get some sort of scanner that will support the 800mhz vipir stuff (not sure if such a thing exists) or listen on the vhf simulcast used for the minitors, 156.225mhz

lawl

i'd rather have a code blue than a code black

code black = bomb threat

blue = cardiac/respiratory arrest

So what the difference between a "cardiac" call and a "code blue" call?

cardiac would be chest pains, etc while breathing and having a pulse

code blue would be not breathing no pulse, aka cardiac (or respiratory) arrest.
