We've got a male black chinichilla where I work that we are currently trying to find a good home for. We'd like for it to go to someone with chinchilla experience or someone who currently has chins. He's very sweet and well behaved. I'll try to put some pics up by tuesday the next time I'm at work

I had chinchillas in high school. We always had so much fun with our little Chico and Dinah.May be interested- does he come with a cage/dust bowl and stuff?

Chinchillas are cool, wish this opportunity came next semester when I won't be in the dorm. Good luck finding him a good home.

It sounds like you have a place for him but if for some reason you don't just let me know, I'm a zoology major and I've raised and bred chinchillas before so I would love to take him in!!

we've named him "Keebler" and he's settling into his cage. It's only a 2 level but I'm going to go buy him a 4 story setup with shelves this week. His cage is next to my other 2 chins and they are curious about eachother. He got a dust bath this morning (which was needed!) and now he's chilling in his nest box and eating some tim hay. I took him out last night at home and he's a sweetheart but he's a little nervous now so we'll give him a few days to get used to the new smells and sounds before handling again. He's a black velvet and a little on the small side which means he's young or just small. I may try to find him a cagemate eventually or introduce him to my other 2 males. Thanks for letting me adopt him![Edited on February 26, 2008 at 10:21 AM. Reason : f]
