I think that cop just had a flawed sense of what respect is....

having said that, he certainly wasn't respecting the kids as basic human beings. How can he possible expect respect back?
His whole argument seemed to air on the side of "I'M BIGGER THAN YOU AND I HAVE A BADGE. YOU'RE YOUNGER THAN I AM"

when i was younger we used to skate downtown charlotte from time to time, mind you I suck at skate boarding, but if asked to leave we were polite and would move on to another location. it was complete dicks like this guy that just asked to get fucked with. on a side note, youths now or days piss me off because they have no respect for any body or any one, especially other people's property. i guess same goes for the majority of the population.
