I did a search, but didn't see anything... I am looking for a field to hold kickball games on in the evenings (hopefully on Thursdays and would like for it to have lights). It needs to be big enough to hold two or three games at once (or multiple fields in the same location). It doesn't have to be a baseball field or anything. Here is the kicker... I need to find a place that will allow alcohol. No one will be getting smashed, just having a beer or two. We will be able to pay for the fields. I know the city fields are out because of the alcohol. If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know. Thanks!

Yup. I have a few places to check out, but I am open to any suggestions! Also, registration will be opening up for the spring season in early March, so go ahead and get your teams together.

i was just going to sign up by myself last year and get thrown onto a team, but driving halfway to durham wasn't feasible for me. good luck finding a closer park. so i guess the city of raleigh forbids drinking at their parks?

Yeah, no alcohol on city property. Anyone who is interested should definitely check it out. The website is http://www.kickball.com. We are in the capital division. Basically, we play kickball (while drinking) and then go to the team bar after the games. It is a blast. The only catch is that you must be 21 to register. Last year, we played on a field that was all the way out Creedmoor road by the JCC (was just a big field.. not a sports field). I just want to find something that is closer in. I feel like if anyone knows of any private fields, that would be the best bet.

Gonna be tough to find somewhere that allows alcohol. Very tough.

it wouldn't be too hard if you didn't need lights. that means you'll have to find a public facility which 9 times out of 10 don't allow alcohol.

Do they actually patrol the parks or anything? Seems like something you could kind of hide, unless you have kegs on the field. If they are really only having 1 or 2 beers, are you really that worried about getting caught?

I used to work for the parks and rec department and trust me, they check.

they do check. rpd basically babysat every after tri-sports got in trouble once for alcohol last year.

there used to be a couple fields across from the houses on fraternity court where we would play kickball during greek weekyou probably will have to scrap the alcohol idea though, I dont know if there are any public places that will condone drinking. you might just have to chug a few in your car or something
