hahaha he just said "a discount" and used best buy as his referencewelcome to the internet.you can get 1gb chips for $8 after rebate: http://www.buy.com/retail/product.asp?sku=203321687 (using google checkout)bottom line is, nobody is going to want to purchase 2X512mb chips, and especially not for more than it would cost them to get double that amount of brand new memory.]

This is TWW. Everyone's a bunch of cheap bastards.

no that is NOT the case here. Selling ram for these kinds of prices is ridiculous.$50 for 2 512 sticks for a total of 1GB? Dont even know what the speed is.I just got single *2 GB* sticks of 667Mhz DDR2 Laptop Memory for $30s a pop. (not even on rebate/on sale) at new egg.[Edited on February 10, 2008 at 2:05 PM. The best buy link ram is DDR1!

DDR1 is more expensive than DDR2. and no one is going to pay 50 when you can get brand new ddr2 laptop memory for the same price/cheaper. and yes, Welcome to the marvelous world of the Internet. for reference.....http://www.newegg.com http://www.tigerdirect.com http://www.google.com
