I bought 2 pairs of jeans at Old Navy last week, 38x34, regular cut, and they fit great in the dressing room, and still fit great a week later, so I bought another pair last night in the same size, same style, in a different shade. Put them on this morning and they were so tight that I looked like an overstuffed sack of potatoes from the back. I didn't suddenly put on 10 lbs. in a week. I know that no 2 garments are exactly identical, but this is way outside any reasonable allowance for variation in cutting/stitching. Like a dumbass I removed the tags before putting them on, so now I have to attempt to reattach them before returning them. I guess the point is, try on everything at old navy, don't just go by the size on the tag.

i HATE that about old navy. that's happened several times to me. you try one color on, it fits, so you go get 2 more and none of them are cut anywhere near similar. you get what you pay for there.

another similar problem with old navy: some items fall apart after just a few washings, where others (like some green cords i have) last for unbelievable amounts of time - 6-7 years or so. ridiculous.

hahaha, I have some pants (not old navy) that are like that. 33s fit great at the store. get a few others the next week in different colors and some are tight as a motherfucker.

You don't have to retag. Just take it in.

that's the bad thing with GAP brands, Old Navy is the low end and Banana is the high end

very noticeable difference in construction quality and quality control......Banana is usually great, they use nice materials as well

^^ That's what I was gonna say. Just tell them what you told us: You removed the tags before putting them on, and even though they're the same size that you bought before - they definitely are not the same thing.

Old Navy is terrible for that.

The same thing happened with me and some polo shirts (not from Old Navy though) a few months ago. Annoying as hell.
