linux obviously, red hat something, bash shelluser1 has sudo capability, user2 has all the same groups and entries in sudoers as user1 yet user2 doesnt have access to sudoi have the root password but i hate being logged on as rootis there a user db config file that i need to run? (analogous to ldconfig for programs)

did you logout and log back in as user2?
2/7/2008 7:51:04 PM
yeah with no luck

if you've properly updated sudoers and everything, then there's probably a typo somewhere, i'd guess.
2/7/2008 8:27:07 PM
so you have an entry for user1 and user2 in /etc/sudoers? or you have an entry for user1's group in there?
2/7/2008 9:02:07 PM
an entry for user1 and user2 in User_Alias ADMINS and the formatting is the same as the example that is commented out
2/7/2008 9:07:54 PM
so you have?User_Alias ADMINS = user1, user2ADMINS ALL=(ALL) ALLcorrect?
