look, i love my zune, i do...i'd choose it over an ipod any day (personal preference, of course)...but is there any reason you don't just get something like a sansa? you can score an 8gb with microSDHC for less than $100, and it'll pick up FM just fine...you can also rockbox it (which, to me, is a huge advantage):http://www.officemax.com/omax/catalog/sku.jsp?skuId=21200683$120 - 20% off (with coupon OFFICE) = $96 shipped

why do u say that? just because you dont like them doesnt mean that that they suck
3/14/2008 7:26:22 AM
there was a big refurb push (thanks w00t) on those zune 30s when you could get them for $80 (though sometimes less and sometimes a bit more)of course, all you have to do is take off the "refurbished" sticker and pretend you bought it new...either way, you'll probably get $100 for it via craigslist, but $150 is retarded

i paid $50 after rebates for a refurbished 30gb from techbargains.com in december, but gave it to my 8 year old little brother for a gift. tons of dealaday sites (aka woot) have them for 80 or less. . . just look around there.

and i'm not saying they're not worth it...i don't know where all the refurbs are coming from (i suspect m$ made too many before releasing the 2nd generation), but they're well worth the money$150, though, is kinda high

http://www.geeks.com/details.asp?invtid=BLK-RJ200-1GB1gb mp3/4 player with fm tuner, $20.

ah, those kinds of things make me nervous...you can get no-name mp3 players pretty much anywhere these days, for cheap...but i (personally) would rather spend a bit more cash (and i'm talking literally about $5) on a name-brand (refurb or whatever) that is put together better (i tend to abuse my solid-state mp3 players) and has better softwarei can't emphasize enough the idea of a sansa + rockbox
