Pics coming later today! Anything for you danmangt40 (and my other fans!) [no homo]So you want pics of the Chicago unveiling, or Dodge's official shots of the car in the wild? Also, 800 pixels wide, 1024 wide, or 1280 wide?BTW, y'all know the first one sold for $400,000 a couple of weeks back, right?http://www.worldcarfans.com/9080123.001/2008-dodge-challenger-srt8-job-1-sells-for-400,000Till I come back a few hours later, I leave you with this:A video:http://www.worldcarfans.com/4080206.002/2008-dodge-challenger-srt8And:

why even ask, you know ur posting it at 1280pixles no matter what and it'll be side-scroll city around here
2/9/2008 8:10:15 AM
1) If that's what I am doing, why is the picture above only 800 wide?2) I asked, didn't I? Did that question of mine in my post above read like a joke?3) Show me any 1280 wide picture I have posted in the past few several months. Also, 800 pixels wide, 1024 wide, or 1280 wide?
2/9/2008 8:21:10 AM
don't hate on him cause yall have shitty ass monitors set at low ass resolutions.get a 24" and you won't need to side scroll for shit.
2/9/2008 8:43:35 AM
I think I will go with 1024 wide... that's a happy medium I guess. Back in 5-6 hours.
2/9/2008 8:50:14 AM
i like the looks of the challenger.

Challenger is indeed one of the best looking cars out there today. Would rock one without a doubt.
2/9/2008 12:37:09 PM
a lot of rednecks in this thread and i like how dodge knows its demographic. They labeled the fuel door ("fuel") lol.

exterior looks sick, BUT what kind of 400+hp car barely breaks 13's ?
2/10/2008 3:06:53 AM
It would look sick as a convertable
2/10/2008 10:20:12 AM
maybe I am missing something but that car is hideousthe only reason the old ones are cool, are because they are oldwhat a bunch of wasted space

it's a 4.9 and ~13.3 according to dodge. stock SRT8 cars have been able to get into the high 12s with the right conditions. The 09 with the 6 speed should knock a good bit of time off as well.
2/10/2008 11:48:58 AM
that is a shitty interior.
2/10/2008 4:31:24 PM
i love how the basic dodge radio hasnt changed in 20 yearsmy fucking 89 dodge spirit had that obnoxious green display with the buttons surrounding it
2/10/2008 5:33:16 PM
look. its a DODGE. perormance, handling, interior are nothing. Just exterior looks are all that matters. durr"Butterperformance"
2/10/2008 6:14:03 PM
^^I'm sure you'll be able to get MyGig^durr is right. I disagree with all of that except MAYBE the interior. I see a lot of shitty interiors going around these days. Apart from Mazda, Mini, Audi, BMW, Acura, and Maybe Honda.... most car interiors are the pits today unless you're spending big bucks. At the very least, this interior looks to be "par" with other LXs. I'm sure that to prove your point you'd whip out some numbers for Evo, Sti, etc. Please. Appealing as this car is, it's a niche vehicle on a MUCH larger and expensive platform. They didn't have the ideal platform to start with and this ought to be considered merely a sexier LX. And at that, I'd say it has the market all to itself in the low-to-mid 30s. The srt8 this year is just window dressing. The meat of the challenger sales are going to be R/Ts with manuals next year. Quinn... As for the 14 second 1/4 mi, I'm pretty sure these are very conservative numbers. But not looking good? c'mon now. Beauty may be in the eye of the beholder, but you are apparently looking from a place where nobody else is standing. This is just.... badass.
2/11/2008 8:38:55 AM
it looks porky in the mid-section (needs more ground clearance there)
2/11/2008 9:02:11 AM
i like the camaro better

Sign me up...I wish. Monthly payments with nothing down would be insane, not going to pay $700/mo for 5 years for a car loan. In a few years though! In a few years...WTF straight dashboard though. Reminds me of the dash in my Marauder, which debuted in the '97 Crown Vic. The SRT seats should be nice if they're anything like the ones in the SRT-8 300C, but that dash is both bland and ugly. Individually hooded gauges are nice but the rest rather sucks. They should hire the design team that did the new Malibu's interior...Does anyone else find it ironic that it *wasn't* OEPII1 who made it a side-scroller for once?[Edited on February 11, 2008 at 12:49 PM. i wonder if this car will have serious traction or wheelhop issues
2/25/2008 11:50:14 PM
You have to like this car for what it is. I could careless if it came in 318 with sub 200hp. You buy this car for exterior. 20" wheels are gay and narrow. Some wide 18" or 19" would be a much better choice.
2/26/2008 3:22:33 AM
I haven't heard that the other LX cars are having traction problems or any wheel hop, so I wouldn't expect this to, either. It's not a GM car so it's diff won't explode, either.
