this is the current hood

only damage is on the corner on the right headlight. i can probably get it smoothed out enough to my liking. but messing with a hood is a whole nother story.

i can get a certifit hood for $55. and if anyone is familiar with them, then you know why they are called certishit.

or this guy on craigslist has a black primered hood for $50. he said stock civic hood.

now, should i keep it the way it is and spray it red.

get a certifit and prep it and spray it

or get the craigslist primered (may not need prepping, but you never know) and spray it red.

?

or if anyone knows of a cheap hood. doesnt matter the color, as long as its not damaged.

If it's worth the time and effort to paint it's worth $55 to have a good hood to start with. You'll have to evaluate whether or not the Craigslist guy's hood is as good as he says.

If you do the hood fix that bumper while you're at it.

yea, the craigslist guy actually lives close by. i will be checking out the hood.

meh, the bumper has one little slice in it (where that emblem is). my jewish self wants to just repaint it the way it is and fix the bumper. which i may just do.

but my non jewish self wants a lotus.

so i dont know. haha

nah y0, you need to keep the black primer so when you add some more hellaz to the roof rack they won't glare off the hood. straight land rover style.

why do people do this, put unpainted body parts on their cars? I see these ricer kids driving around all the time with unpainted body kits on their civics, if you can't afford to paint it then you can't afford it.......I don't understand the "well I'll put it on and paint it when I can afford to" mentality

^^^^ well most of the time its cuz they cant afford the paint. the story with mine was that after i got into the fender bender, i actually found a hood at work that wasnt damaged. it was from a 2000 civic (mine is a 1997). so for the hell of it we spray painted flames on the hood because we were going to junk it. well, the hood we found didnt fit (it was later we found out what year it was), so i HAD to put the red one with black flames back on and well... i sprayed the rest of it black because i didnt want to drive around with black flames.

^^^yea nig. i work out in chapel hill. i know you HEARD the rumble
^^,^ yeah the rallyX is this saturday, or course im not changing it tomorrow or anything, but in the near future i wanna eventually put a red hood on there.

It's a Civic. Primered, no question about it.

BTW saw a fully primered gray civic wagon with altezzas and lambo doors at the gas station. our eyes met. he saw me. i saw him. i let the angry 2.4 scream.

i realized the truck can be sold for double what i paid for it the first hour i leave it on that street with a FOR SALE sign on
