WORDS OMGwhy do they call it lactose intolerance, it digests. just not the right way. its more like "lactose fucked up"but i started drinking milk more frequently a year or so ago. anyways, i always had a heartburn thing. so some nights i'd wake up and have this weird heartburn where i could taste the old warm/rancid milk if i burped or something. i never asked my doctor. i'm going to next time, though (don't worry about me!). just doesnt seem very life threateningso, on with the story. i bought these lactose pill things. and there is no ingredient, it just says something like "lactose enzyme x 6000" per pill or something.ANYWAYS, usually i just pop one if i'm gonna have a bowl of cereal with milk, or maybe a bowl of ice cream, or something suspect like that, and everything works out fine, havent noticed the weird taste since then. but sometimes, i forget that i have already taken one that day. like if i had cereal that morning, but had a thing of ice cream or maybe even a midnight snack of more cerealbut when i take more than one of those things, i get the typical 'lactose intolerance' problems. you know, the cramps and the terrible gas, and all that but the milk vomit taste still hasnt come backyou think its the milk or the pills? i think i caused a problem that never existed cause i got sick once and diagnosed myself lactose intolerant and not i fucked my enzymes up

Well a lot of ice-cream already has lactase in it for various reasons (prevents crystalization, increases sweetness, etc.) Anyways, taking excessive amounts shouldn't really do anything. You may just be pre-diabetic. That can cause increased indigestion and bowel issues. It's also possible that you've got something that's causing secondary lactose intolerance. Things that could cause this include: celiac disease, inflammatory bowel disease, and Crohn’s disease. Also, try to note whether or not you've had any alchohol to drink before these bowel issues. It's possible to have an allergy to alchohol that presents only in the digestive tract. My uncle is missing a large section of his small intestine because of an undiagnosed alchohol allergy that presents only in his digestive tract (no rash etc.) Then again, it could just be that that much fat (multiple bowls of cereal and some icecream plus whatever other crap you eat) on your aging disgestive system means gas. The increased ammount of digestible sugars that result from you taking lactase might have something to do with it, but ice cream contains some anyways a lot of the time. Eat some active culture yogurt, avoid greasy foods, and maybe have a fresh vegetable serving or fresh fruit every now and then. See if that helps.
