they have this thing where to work in the ED you have to have documentation of ALL your STDs

that includes syphilis (the damn rash)

i have had syphilis since like... 1989

so i call The Free Clinic in wilmington (the awesome place i went to when i found out i had syphilis... but haven't been there since i was like 18)

"um, yeah, i was a patient of yours like... 10 years ago... and i need documentation that i had syphilis"

apparently my chart is in some warehouse somewhere
