i noticed a bunch of guys and girls making some noise in the parking lot, apparently there was some disagreement which ended up in one guy getting punched out and kicked on the ground before everyone went back inside and their separate ways

At other shitty student housing places, yes it is normal.

Take my place for instance: This exact thing happened over Christmas break around a New Year's party!

Noise in the parking lot, drunk dude getting shouted at by two girls, two guys come over and kind of man handle him away from the girls, the girls then proceeding to walk away and drive home, and then they sort of knocked his ass out or something onto the side walk and he just chilled there on his face for a while before getting up and moving on.

It's what civilized people do, apparently.

u oaks is the 4 big apartment buildings behind rhyne's gate right? not quite sure since i just moved in this semester

in any case, it was in the middle of the parking lot between the two buildings close to the road (1140 and another one) in between a bunch of cars
