so ive been looking at rifles to go hunting.

currently i have an SKS Yugo edition (not that i use it for hunting). this gun is old. not so hot right now. not sure if its even good for hunting.

ive always wanted to go hunting. ive shot various guns. i like rifles.

im not trying to spend a lot of money. are hunting guns something that "you get what you pay for"?

how accurate can it be for about $400?

they had another gun on the site for close to $200 (im guessing its discontinued cuz no info on it). but say i was to look at that one, are they comparable.

this isnt going to be an everyday thing. dont want to spend a ton of money for something i may use only during hunting season.

i guess it all depends on what kind of game i want to hunt. how is NC? im guessing the biggest thing i might hunt is a buck. not even worried about bears really.

say i move to alaska. dont think i can take a puny ole rifle up there when we got moose on the loose

There's a bear season in NC, and there's twice as many bears on the coast as there are in the mountains.

well i figured there would be bears, but i didnt know if it was real "game". i guess people do go hunting for big game.

maybe ill upgrade to something bigger incase i run across one.
