a couple mp3s:http://mrmeuble.blogspot.com/2008/01/japancakes-loveless.htmlseems unnecessary if you ask me, though... the strings are interesting, at least[Edited on January 24, 2008 at 10:30 PM. Reason : for more, just pop "japancakes" into the hype machine]

The little slide parts are sort of interesting, but the whole point of Loveless is that it's sixty tracks of roaring guitar that still manages to sound controlled and sedate. Toning it down ruins it.

60 tracks? I thought there was only 11? Kevin Shields is a special breed of perfectionist that really pisses me off. It's like, get over yourself - you spend so much damn money and near bankrupt every label that dares get near you. Sure, you're a great artist but recording a billion songs with all these gimmicks amount to shit if you A) don't release the music for us to hear and they never make it off the cutting room floor B) can't summon the same songwriting muse you used to.I dunno, I'm being harsh - I LOVE MBV but he and Axl Rose both suffer from this 'I'm still relevant, I'm a genius, you watch' and every year no record comes out.
