I liked the class. I took it over the summer and didn't have to do a project though.Best advice, do the damn homework. Seriously, he actually cares about that stuff. I remember I forgot like 2 of my problems and asked him if I could turn them in late. He told me that because I always turned in good homework he didn't mind. In the end the hw balanced out my grade in there.

sucks to be you, I had him for controls last semester and it was rough. There were a few times where someone would ask him a question and his answer was "that's a very good question" and he would just turn around and go on teaching.

Thanks guys, I guess I'll just do the hw and if I completely bomb the first test i'll drop it before the deadline.

^^nah, no need to drop . . . everyone does bad and there will be a curve. Just try to stay around or above the average for the tests and you'll be good.

does anyone have any old tests or quizzes?I have no idea what to expect from a teacher like this on a test.

if it's anything like controls . . . he'll post an old test on the website and then the actual test will be nothing like it

Well being at work and looking for a ray of hope does anyone have anything positive to say besides that it makes me laugh when I see how he's dressed everyday.Kuznetsov helps with this too. (keeping denim stock up since the fall of soviet russia)

I am still debating if I should drop him or not. I am only now taking diff eq, so I am thinking this will start to hinder my abilities in the class.

I haven't seen anything that you haven't at least been exposed to in MA 241.maybe some of the eigen-value stuff?

Vibrations with Tran ftw; about two years ago when he was just transitioning from being the depts lab manager and his way of teaching makes the stuff stay with you.
