So far it seems like Clinton's taking a lot of shots from Obama and Edwards (both superficial sound bites and good points) without really getting good counterpoints out. And it's also a lot of useless witty banter and argument.

Also, Hilary interrupts like crazy as soon as her name is mentioned, it's getting annoying.

Anyone else watching with opinions?

It's crappy that Clinton manages to keep sidelining the discussion into a one-on-one with Obama...

Nobody is standing out by much at this point...

Hillary & Obama bicker like an episode of jerry springer.

Edwards bringing it back and sounding like a leader:

Time to find out if these debates had much of an impact.

http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/01/26/sc.primary/index.html
Quote :
"Former North Carolina Sen. John Edwards was born in South Carolina and won the state's primary four years ago, when he was making his first bid for the White House.

Edwards has been touting his native status, and as the Clinton and Obama camps have squabbled, Edwards has continued to talk about the issues and suggests he's the only adult in the field.

"I'm keeping moving no matter what, but I feel good about how things are moving right now here today," Edwards told reporters Saturday morning. "I feel there's a lot of energy behind my campaign."

The Clinton and Obama campaigns toned down the rhetoric in the past two days, returning to the issues and concentrating their firepower on the Republicans rather than on each other."

Looks like they realized squabbling wasn't the way to go after all.

Quote :
"Among black primary voters, Obama had a more significant lead over Clinton, 59 percent to 25 percent, but Obama is only backed by 10 percent of white voters, the poll found. Among whites, Edwards and Clinton are in a statistical tie, with Edwards backed by 40 percent and Clinton supported by 36 percent."

If Edwards and Clinton split the white vote Obama could end up with a pretty strong victory in South Carolina.

Quote :
"South Carolina is the last big test for the Democrats before Super Tuesday, February 5, when nearly two dozen states will hold either primaries or caucuses -- including such delegate-rich states as California, New York, New Jersey and Illinois.

While it is unlikely Edwards would stage a come-from-behind victory, he still could have a significant impact on the primary process, which is increasingly coming down to a delegate race. Edwards can win delegates even if he does not win states.

On January 15, Edwards pledged, "I'm in this for the long haul. We're continuing to accumulate delegates. There's actually a very narrow margin between Sen. Obama, Sen. Clinton and myself on delegates.""

The interesting thing will be if Hillary comes in third. Obama has alway had 1st or 2nd, but Hillary had a third to start with in Iowa, and a third to end things just before super tuesday could have a big impact. Also Edwards campaign committing to stay with it, and if they got a 2nd, keeps the VP door wide open.

the worse she will do is second, Edwards has no shot at second in SC....Super Tuesday, Hill is still pretty far ahead in the biggies(you would think any bounce Obama had would of shown up by now) Pretty much everyone knows he will win SC(I mean, Jesse Jackson did it twice in the 80s and Al Sharpton got 17% of the vote when Edwards won.) Obama is going to do badly on Super Tuesday since he played the race card and turned off whites(which he needs) I think his support with whites is under 10%(took a dive the last week.)

Also Hill has the latino vote in her back pocket.

Not really.......

Obama won across demographic lines
http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/01/26/sc.exit.polls/index.html

# Story Highlights:
# Obama took more than 80 percent of African-American vote, polls show
# He had support of nearly a quarter of white voters; Clinton, Edwards split remainder
# Polls showed Obama winning majorities across nearly all demographic groups
# Clinton won among voters older than 65, Obama won 18- to 64-year-olds

.... But of course the Clintons are already trying to discredit SC --by bringing up the Jesse Jackson's wins in '84 & '88 and labeling Obama as the "Black" candidate. One thing they don't bring up is that Jackson in SC got only 7% of the white vote whereas Obama is at 25%.

SC means nothing, if Jesse Jackson can win SC in 84 and 88, and Al Sharpton get around 15% in 2004.....I really do think that this is the peak for Obama, even though Fl doesnt have delegates, he is behind by 20% and no Dems have campaign, time for Hill to have a blow out win....there goes any momentum Obama has.

Also, Jesse Jackson won some other southern states, Obama probably will too, after all, if Jesse can, so should Obama!

^^ True, but the difference is that Obama DOES appeal to all demographics/races/religions/econ.. however you wanna word it. Jesse Jackson played to black voters exclusively. Obama is no Jackson/Sharpton and neither one of them could have ever won Iowa (92% white) and a close 2nd in NH (98% white).
