Just looking to see if anyone on here ever had an internship at SAS. I talked with an advisor and he told me to search their job site for technical student and thats why I applied for. Anyone have experience with SAS?

^^im not sure what department it is. woodard sent me the link to http://www.sas.com/jobs/USjobs/search.html and told me to search jobs under "technical student". if you do it now, there should be about 5 listings, and the first one is flat out "technical student" which is for ugrads. the few other listings under there I dont totally meet the requirements for so I just stuck with the technical student listing.

One of my sorority sisters interned there in undergrad and freakin' LOVED it. I can't remember if she was on the business side, or IT, but either way it sounded like an overall GREAT experience.

when applying for an internship, are they expecting you to call and check up on your application? or is it the more hope that they call you type thing?

i'd check up on it. at least a call.which one are you applying for? all the ones in the group i work in are full.out of the ones that are on there now, i'd go with the internal tech support one, MIS gets boring sometimes.you'll basically be going around staging windows machines for peoples offices, i think - i don't have any experience working in that group, however, as R&D is completely separate from ISD.shoot me a PM; if you want, you can meet me for lunch in R and i'll answer any questions you might have.[no gargs],/]

i recently applied for the MIS position. Looking at the 5 different ones they have available, it's the only one I really meet the full requirements for, giving me the best chance to atleast get my foot in the door.

I worked there summer of 06. I'm a stats major, but ended up doing software testing. It's a good company, but make sure you can enjoy the position you get.

Are they going to be at the Career Fair both days, or just Thursday? I can't find them on the participating companies list, but their website says that they are attending.
