SHOW ME YOUR COOTER!^^and actually, cooters are a type of turtle. all you've posted is a picture of a snapping turtle. i guess rednecks have a thing for calling any type of turtle a cooter though.

cooters refer to all turtles, but the first one that comes to ones mind is the snapping turtle. this is because when people say they are going cooter huntin they are going out for some snapping turtles. this is because they tend to get very large and tasty
