I do recycle a lot at my house but sometimes when I am at say my parents house I just thro it in the trash and they take it out in the morning. Also, with cans you can crush them so they don't take out as much room.

I disagree. Cans chill fastest, but if your refrigerator is up to it, glass is the most chillable. Nothing better than opening a glass bottle of coke and finding that the first few sips have that delightful, slushy, near-frozen quality to them.
