Somehow, my dogs got out of my fence yesterday, and I've searched all over the neighborhood and can't find them. I've already put a post on craigslist, but I was hoping maybe somebody here could help me.One is an orange-colored chow/shepherd mix with a black snout and a cream-colored tail that is tightly flipped over her butt. Her name is Lily. She is small, only about 45 lbs.The other is a dark brown and black chow mix. He's almost a year old, so he acts like a giant puppy. His name is Mo. He is about 80-90 lbs and is a big fuzz-ball.They both have collars (NC State Collars, Lily's is Leather, Mo's is red), and they both have tags with their names, my husband's cell phone number, and our old address in Garner, NC. They also both have microchips with my husband's cell phone information. My husband and I recently separated a few months ago, and I now live in Durham, between exits 279A and 278 off I-40. If you find them, please, please, please, call me at 919-341-0022 or call the number on the tags. I am very worried, and I miss them dearly!!! My husband is also anxious to receive a call to know they are safe...I have pictures of them. These pictures are a few months old, so Mo is quite a bit bigger now, but he looks pretty much the same. Lily looks exactly like the pictures.THANK YOU!!![Edited on January 17, 2008 at 2:44 PM. Reason : error in third picture posting]

They got out of my fence in Durham. I live near the intersection of 54 and Alston Avenue.Yes, I've contacted the Wake County SPCA, the Wake County Animal Shelter, and I went to the Durham County Animal Shelter this morning.I've spent the past few hours going to the local houses and businesses asking if they've seen them. A few remembered seeing them yesterday but not today...

not sure if it is the same down here as is in NY- But although the SPCA and shelters are great to call "County/City Animal Control" Is an entirely different group-They could be construed as intimidating looking dogs ( U have 110 lbs pit myself) and if someone sees them in their yard may call animal control- If they have a bad temperment then this could wind up poorly- I would make sure to call animal control (if you have one) bring photos, drop of contact numbers, etc... so you can get there when they do if there is a complaint-Best of luck to you-

There is actually an abandoned school building by where I live, and a couple of people had seen them playing in the fence around that building. I was looking in that area when I saw their hair attached to some of the briars. I noticed a cat come out through a hole in the wood covering a door, so I stuck my head in and called for them. Mo started barking, so I knew they were there. It turns out they were playing/exploring and somehow shut the door behind themselves in a room...Thank goodness they are both unhurt!! (They did jump in the neighbor's sandbox turtle and drank the water for a good 5 minutes, though...)
