It's a waste to go higher octane than you need, and can actually lower your gas mileage.

One of mine likes regular, the other prefers mid. The one that takes regular gets better mileage, so I use it more.

using premium gas when the compression ratio of your engine does not require its use lowers the overall efficiency of your engine. You are are not giving your car a "treat."
