...and Wake County makes the list at #86 (average female weight: 155.1 lb)

To put this in relative terms, there are 3,141 counties in the United States.

http://www.city-data.com/top2/co14.html

Note the exceptionally high concentration of fatties in SC, WA, and the DC area.

Theories/comments?

Lots of guys with significant muscle mass are technically obese according to the BMI

Super jacked women are nasty anyway so they're really no different on the "Would I fuck her" scale than someone who is 20 or so pounds overweight

I'm also mad they don't have one for guy weights. how come it's ok for guys to be fat buffoons, but girls have to be hotties?

for examples see Superbad, Knocked Up, and every sitcom ever

Haha, the average female weighs more than I do.

It's only by about a pound, but still... That's kinda gross.

Just looking through lists...

we haven't got two cities named Charlotte here in NC, have we?

From "Top 101 zip codes with the most big companies in 2005"
79. 28202 (Charlotte, NC), pop. 5,032: 5
95. 28204 (Charlotte, NC), pop. 4,900: 4

Also, http://www.city-data.com/top2/c404.html (Top 101 cities in crime index per resident), there are quite a few random small-ass NC towns on that list. Same thing for most murders per resident... at least we're not found at all on the most rapes list! First in Flight and in Not Getting Raped.

Even more... Asheville is the most humid city in the US!!! http://www.city-data.com/top2/c478.html

^^ Umm... Charlotte has more than one zipcode... and since the list is done by zipcodes, not cities... well, I won't spoil the ending for you.

the weight range on this is from 153.9 to 165.7

obviously a flawed representation of the demographic

^^Ah, good call there. Seems kind of silly to chop the city in half by zip code, but I guess they decided to do the list that way.

Especially since the site is pretty much about the data by city... isn't it?

Yeah, but they basically substitute counties in for cities when there is not a sizable enough city in said county. There's some lists done by zip code, though, and I don't really see the reasoning behind that.
