Went to make the thread but already been done i see...saw the trailer for it when i was seeing juno, it looks like it will be a great film and it luckily appears like it will follow book in style and story (not a fan of taking a film, play, ect and changing the whole thing in order to gain mass apeal for the big screen)YEAH!

I saw this a couple of weeks ago and it is really really good. I did think that it got a tad self indulgent on her personal story to the detriment of what was going around her. Particularly towards the end. But overall this is a very minor criticism. The animation is unique and strangely powerful. It is also one of the first animated films I have seen to liberally use the word "cunt". (other than Finding Nemo)If you can watch it in French, I suggest you do. I know there is a dubbed version but that is sacrilege.

I read the book, and it was nothing but Holy Crap and Sad.Of course, this was right after jaw surgery, so maybe it was awesome and the drugs were screwing me up.
