i've been considering giving Miami one last year and then heading to Calif. Thinking Los Angeles. I spoke with a few people that have lived there and they all said it's beautiful, nice scenery, etc . . . but the town has no style. doesn't have the flavor like NYC or Miami.i can understand that. its like luxurious, but the people do seem like carbon copy.

how do you live in 3 cities at once? Please advise.

you should try the middle of nowhere, with no internet access.

LA wouldn't suit you...you'd be lost in the flood. I'd think Oakland would be more your scene.

Watch HBO's EntourageThat show makes me want to move there - but then again, I have to put in a few more years of work before I can get close to ballin' like them.

LA is great... if you like crime, exhaust and traffic.SoCal is really nice but LA sucks... I would live in Orange County or San Diego or any of the beach cities but not LA proper or it's immediate suburbs...

what's the best in terms of like metropolitan urban areas. like in NYC you'd live in Manhattan if given the choice and Miami either south beach or downtown. what's a similar place in LA or Southern Cal ?
1/7/2008 11:51:02 AM
It's all sprawl... it's NOTHING like New York... that is why I like the Bay Area so much better (but it does rain and get cold here). San Francisco city living is like Manhattan and the burbs are like Northern NJ or Fairfield County in CT...

i'd like a climate similar to Miami. so factoring in climate, and scenery and the vibe of the people what would you say is best. also, what's best for New Yorkers to move too.
1/7/2008 11:55:04 AM
why not stay in Miami?
1/7/2008 11:56:33 AM
just looking to try something different. miami's great, but i think when you're young and single with no kids . . . you may just give a place 2-3 yrs max and try something until it seems PERFECT. if i'm wrong i can always move back to MIAMI.

Why did I move to Southern California?
1/7/2008 12:13:15 PM
just a few months ago you were crying to have someone move in with you so you could afford your place in miamiif you cant afford miami theres no way in hell you would be living in anything other than a cardboard box in la

I plan on being in Sacramento all spring to do some flying. Should be cool.

^^What are you talking about? An imaginary house in LA costs the exact same as one in Miami. duh.And I really didn't want to hop on the Amsterdam is an alias bandwagon, but this thread sealed the deal for me. This thread directly contradicts something that amsterdam said way earlier.]
