....THEN WHAT'S THE DEAL WITH TACHYONS???
1/7/2008 12:24:20 AM
nothing can accelerate up to the speed of light.
1/7/2008 12:24:45 AM
WHAT DO YOU KNOW ABOUT SUPERLUMINAL SPEED?!
1/7/2008 12:25:50 AM
1/7/2008 12:28:05 AM
A reverse tachyon pulse is clearly the only way to deal with this thread.
1/7/2008 12:28:47 AM
1/7/2008 12:28:54 AM
Nobody ever said things can't move faster than light. It just takes an infinite amount of energy to accelerate anything with mass up to the speed of light.
1/7/2008 12:29:17 AM
BLASPHEMY!!!!!!!!!!!
1/7/2008 12:31:08 AM
while it may be true that nothing can accelerate to the speed of light, it may also be true that there are pseudo-particles that stay in motion at or above the speed of light
1/7/2008 12:31:28 AM
Chuck Norris can travel faster than the speed of light. And I have a degree in physics.
1/7/2008 12:32:46 AM
light maybe, but nothing can go faster than the speed of lint
1/7/2008 12:34:12 AM
1/7/2008 12:34:23 AM
The LHC accelerates protons to 99.9999% the speed of light, and then smashes them together. Protons have mass.
1/7/2008 12:35:46 AM
seriously, in like 95% of the sci-fi i read, something can go faster than the speed of light. So much for the theory, huh Einstein?
1/7/2008 12:36:36 AM
But not much mass.
1/7/2008 12:36:44 AM
Protons have mass? Shit, that sounds logical.RUN!
1/7/2008 12:38:47 AM
chinese food goes through me faster than the speed of lightand it's massive
1/7/2008 12:39:27 AM
^ this sounds like acceptable arguments.
1/7/2008 12:40:12 AM
is this thread going to end up like the airplane on a treadmill one?
1/7/2008 12:40:40 AM
1/7/2008 12:40:42 AM
1/7/2008 12:41:43 AM
WE ROUND UP AFTER 2 DECIMAL POINTS, GENIUS
1/7/2008 12:41:55 AM
BUT WHAT IF YOU PUT A PLANE ON A TREADMILL???
1/7/2008 12:42:19 AM
well shit. nobody told me that.
1/7/2008 12:42:28 AM
if i were in a space ship that was going speed of light and i ran to the front of the ship, i'd be going faster than speed of light
1/7/2008 12:43:04 AM
nope, you wouldn't
1/7/2008 12:43:31 AM
guys please, i have a match tomorrow
1/7/2008 12:43:37 AM
what if you were driving a car at the speed of light and you turned on the headlights? would they work? LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL
1/7/2008 12:44:12 AM
1/7/2008 12:44:13 AM
I think you can, actually..."spooky action at a distance"if you take two related quantum mechanical particles and then send one of them to the other side of the universe, they are both in states of uncertaintybut after you examine the particle you've kept on earth, the other particle instantly resolves its shape tooI'm no particle physicist, but I've heard that it would work
1/7/2008 12:45:42 AM
but what if you were on a ship going the speed of light and shot your load forward? Would the ho be beyond the event horizon?
1/7/2008 12:46:17 AM
outside the event horizon doesn't matter. everyone knows that.
1/7/2008 12:47:33 AM
please I have a match tonight, can anyone help me fix it?
1/7/2008 12:48:01 AM
1/7/2008 12:48:37 AM
Or...would that ho get supersoaked?
1/7/2008 1:15:25 AM
let's hear it for the variable speed of light!
1/7/2008 1:16:59 AM
three cheers!c c c
1/7/2008 1:23:29 AM
1/7/2008 1:27:10 AM
^ Is it it bad i recognized everyscreen shot and could tell you what episode it was in?
1/7/2008 4:25:56 AM
haha my penis thanks nerds like youmakes it much easier to get laidlike, all I gotta do is say "hey"
1/7/2008 4:27:36 AM
^^wow really?technically light has some mass, so some things could be accelerated to move faster than it, this "law" came into place when people thought light was massless. wave/particle duality.
1/7/2008 4:47:10 AM
i thought photons have momentum but not mass
1/7/2008 4:57:19 AM
i mean i personally think it's a case of over-categorizing things.isn't momentum mass * velocity?, how could it have mv, but not mass, it's velocity is finite.[Edited on January 7, 2008 at 5:15 AM. Reason : dfd]
1/7/2008 5:13:41 AM
^ but momentum in a relativisitc world was given a new equation along with other properties. There is a factor multiplied by m*v that goes to zero as you get closer to the speed of light. Nothing that has rest mas could go the speed of light because it would have infinite energy. So photons just have energy and momentum and no mass.
1/7/2008 5:22:56 AM
well okay, objects that have rest mass, fine....but there are other particles without rest mass right?
1/7/2008 5:34:12 AM
something tells me that neither one of you know what vag tastes, feels, or smells likeyall keep arguing about gay shit though, it's funny
1/7/2008 5:41:49 AM
^^ you mean photon? Yes, that's why they can't stand still so to speak.
1/7/2008 6:02:45 AM
i get plenty of vag bro, but fuck you too.
1/7/2008 6:08:19 AM
INVERSE tachyon beam, not some pseudoscientific "reverse" tachyon pulse shit.
1/7/2008 6:29:19 AM
set em up with light speed scottie
1/7/2008 9:34:34 AM
