I know last night's game sucked ass so I didn't mind too much as I just played guitar hero instead. However I'd really like to watch the Orange Bowl. If the ACC doesn't win a BCS game this year I'm just gonna cry.

I'm also pissed off that I can't watch anything I've previously recorded on my DVR.

^Well that does make sense but there are two reasons I'm not.

A) I was in the mtns all last weekend for four days and am low on funds
2. Most of my friends up here don't like college sports too much and I don't feel like watching these games alone. I have no problem going out to watch NCSU games alone if I must, but not these games.

that is so annoying. one time my old roommate didn't pay the power bill for months and months, even though we had been giving her the money. they didn't turn off the power, but we discovered a bill and it was like $600. i was so pissed because it was like she was just pocketing our money. i think she had to ask her parents to help her pay for it....

They don't just shut it off for being a few weeks late either. You have to be like three or four months late before they actually do anything.

At least if you're on digital it's nothing more than a quick call to get it turned back on. Tell him to give you the last four digits of his SS number and you can impersonate him if you want to call it in yourself.

The bulb on my dlp went out.

The repair guy (warranty) blew off the first appt, the Friday before Christmas, claiming sick. Bullshit


I had to leave work to sit here since noon hoping he shows up on his slotted time before 4.


Life is fucking irritating dicking around on the internet looking at a broke ass 62" hdtv that won't turn on.


(but fwiw, the bulb did have about 6000 hours on it, just really bad timing)

Actually, it won't let me operate the DVR at all. But I suppose if I disconnected the cable from the wall then maybe I could watch my recorded shows.

No Jess, thats not what I meant There currently aren't any shows on that I care to record, haha.

You can watch regular channels if you bypass the DVR. (hook wall cable right in to TV)

The DVR will not start working until he pays and they ping it from the office to come back on, make sure when he pays the bill its hooked up and plugged in.

The power company is the people you don't want to fuck with!

If your water gets cut off you can cut it back on with a pair of pliers, if your cable gets cut off you can just call with a credit card and it will be back on within 2 minutes.

If your electricity gets cut off, well that sucks itself because the other stuff is worthless with no power, but then you have to pay the ENTIRE bill not just the past due and then wait for about 5-7 hours while they get around to turning it back on.

Don't fuck around with the power bill.
