The fiancée is allergic to cats. We have tried dealing with the issue with medicine etc, but she is ALWAYS sick around the cats, and i'm not giving up the fiancée over them.

I need to find a GOOD home for them, so only reply if you are serious.

2 cats, ~4years old, neutered, shots.
one is gray and the other is... well... mixed colored... white and gray etc.
They both still have their claws, but I have those soft paws things that I will give to you for free with the cats.
These cats are indoor animals, and will not do well outside (right away), and would be perfectly happy in a small apartment.

Their names are Sanchez and Rocco, but you can change them if you want.
Sanchez is the gray, dominant of the pair. He is very affectionate and sometimes tries to lick your hair. He can get pissy at people he doesn't know, but once you get to know him he is a great cat.
Rocco is the mixed color one, and he can be very shy around people he doesn't know. He generally warms up to you over time, but expect him to hide from time to time.
I'd like to give these cats away as a pair, as they have lived with each other their whole lives.

yes, i've joked about getting rid of my cats before on here, but this time I actually do need to find them a good new home. I can get pictures later if anyone is interested.

i am allergic to cats, too, and i have two of them. If she loves you she will deal with it, because eventually your body adjusts to cat allergies and they go away.

no she won't. we have given it almost a year now. she loves me dearly, and I love her dearly, and I don't want her to suffer.

The cats will be happier elsewhere too since we have to keep them locked away most of the time.

(Believe me, we have tried many different ways to solve the problem and keep the cats, but nothing has worked.)

Allergy shots don't always work. I had them for years in addition to other mediciation and still have bad reactions to cats.

Unless you want to adopt the cats, mind your own damn business.

I would love to have some kitties, but my allergies and lack of space for them to roam (my wife and I live in a 1 br apt) keeps me from having them right now.

So her allergies never adjusted? I was hoping that would happen for me when I got cats, because they seem to affect me pretty badly

My woman's cat allergies disappeared after about a week. That being said, hopefully someone will see this and adopt the two cats.

^Craigslist is a really good place to post

Especially if you inform them you're gonna screen a few people and then you'll get back to them.

If they absolutely have to be outdoor cats then at least leave food for them. I had an outdoor cat back when I lived in the country (barn cat) and she did quite well in one of those little dog houses.

At least be a man and take them to the vet to euthanize them instead of putting them outside and letting them slowly and painfully die after being hit by a car.

wait... kill the cats instead of letting them live outside where they are HAPPY?

yeah, that makes a lot of sense.

Those cats depend on you. This woman doesnt. Besides, if she isnt willing to take allergy meds to be with you, you dont need her. If the allergy meds dont work, you probaly dont want ot be with her long term anyway.

At some point you made the decision to take on the responsibilty of being a pet owner. Now they depend on you. Accept the responsiblity of the choices YOU made. Dont punish the animals bc you are immature. Grow up. (I truely mean that in a nice sincere way, not as an insult)

I'm pretty sure cats can survive and be happy outdoors, contrary to popular belief.

of course they can

however, when you domesticate a cat, and you teach it to live indoors and eat food out of a dish that you fill on a daily basis - well, that changes things entirely. you can't have an indoor cat for several years and then just throw it outside to fend for itself.

i'm still sickened by this.
