You have to buy an admission button to participate in the First Night Raleigh events.Or you can find a tv and watch it on WRAL or WTVD (split screen with the NYC ball drop)

They usually have a decent band playing a bunch of popular songs.40,000 people standing around in the cold.Crowd watching.Etc.I mean, it's not the worst thing in the world. It's probably better than going to Hi5 or something. Of course, that doesn't say much.
